So here it is! I must say I do love it and if you aren't in the mood for a bit of cheese factor then you probably shouldn't read any further.
We had talked about getting married and all the dates were locked in (as is the norm of indian families - that's another story) but RG knew from the beginning that I had dreamt of that fairytale moment. What that actually entailed I had no idea and that was left for him to plan (much to his stress).
So we have been doing long distance for the last few months and decided to meet up in Tokyo since it's half way between Vancouver and Perth. It sounded a little crazy to some just for four nights but I think anyone in a long distance relationship will appreciate how it's worth every hour on that plane!
He had organised a photoshoot and knowing full well I would want to plan my hair and outfit - had to tell me the day before. We met our amazing Flytographer at a Japanese garden and she was so lovely -I would highly recommend using them! As we wondered around the gardens stopping in spots of pictures we came to a pond and it was here he got down on one knee...
The feeling was surreal I was crying and had a huge smile on my face at the same time. Trying to focus on his words and take in the whole moment! In a blurr it was over - much to his relief and I just couldn’t stop smiling
We finished off the photoshoot and the spoiling continued. We went to an amazing Michelin Star French restaurant L’Effervescence for lunch complete with a Japanese Matcha making ceremony at the end and a personalised dessert. The day finished at a roof top bar with champagne waiting for us on arrival and the prettiest bouquet of flowers. Safe to say I was truly blown away with all the planning and detail.
Flying back to Perth I was welcomed home by a lovely afternoon tea surprise organised by my sister with a few of my closest family.
So there it is all official and I still smile and relive the moment every time I look at the pictures ! It such a beautiful time to capture.
